Week 2 Begins

Well, week 2 is off to a electrical start!!! (LOL, whew... sometimes I slay myself). The work began on updating the electrical system. Most of the work today was done on the outside of the house. A new line was run to the house and it was placed up on the roof more than 3 feet away from a window as is dictated by city codes (picture on the left). The picture on the right shows the beginning of the transition from the old meter (foreground) to the new meter (background). If you look very closely, you'll see that the base of the pipe for the new meter isn't attached to the house yet. This can't be connected until the city comes out to conduct an inspection. Additionally, the new meter has to remain covered until it is connected and ready for use.
